Description
VaxiFlu™-4 is a quadrivalent influenza vaccine designed to provide active immunization against four influenza virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). It contains inactivated (killed) virus particles, which stimulate the body's immune response without causing the disease. This vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection

Dosage Schedule
Children aged 9 years and older, and adults: One dose of 0.5 ml.

Contraindications
- History of severe allergic reactions (e.g.
- anaphylaxis) to any component of the vaccine
- including egg protein
- or following a previous dose of any influenza vaccine. Immunization should be postponed in patients with acute febrile illness.
Additional Information
- Annual revaccination with VaxiFlu™-4 is recommended due to the changing nature of influenza viruses and the duration of immunity provided by the vaccine. The vaccine should be administered intramuscularly
- preferably in the deltoid muscle for adults and older children
- or the anterolateral aspect of the thigh for younger children. Shake well before administration and inspect visually for particulate matter and discoloration prior to use.
Storage Requirements
- Store in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze.
